On the afternoon of April 11, 2024, a special training session on the promotion and education activities in the field of biosafety for the 2024 National Security Education Day was held in the third floor lecture hall of Building 1 of the Animal Husbandry Hospital. The purpose of this training session is to strengthen publicity and education in the field of biosafety, enhance the biosafety awareness of scientific and technological personnel and graduate students, and promote the development of biosafety management work.
The training session invited Wan Jianqing, Director of the Laboratory Management Department and Researcher of the China Veterinary Drug Administration, to serve as the presenter. Researcher Wan Jianqing gave a detailed introduction to the importance of animal experimental biosafety, analyzed the challenges and risks currently faced in the field of biosafety, and shared his experience and practices in biosafety prevention and control measures. He pointed out that biosafety is an important component of national security, and technology personnel and graduate students should enhance their awareness of biosafety, strictly abide by biosafety norms and operating procedures, and ensure laboratory biosafety.
After the training session, Researcher Wan Jianqing visited the laboratory of the Animal Husbandry Medical Institute with the accompaniment of relevant personnel. During the visit, Researcher Wan Jianqing gained a detailed understanding of the laboratory's biosafety management, experimental facilities and equipment, and experimental operations, and gave high praise to the laboratory's biosafety management work.
